See the Black Sun Rise

I have given public lectures at the Decadent Society about Harry and Caresse Crosby and their legendary publishing house the Black Sun Press, and I have written about Harry's suicide for the book Straight to Hell (published by Creation Books). There is, in their lives together, a fascinating story of utter affirmation in vital existence, put simply: there's something undoubtedly seductive about Harry and Caresse.

It was, then, a real pleasure to find this clip of Caresse from the superbly titled film Always Yes, Caresse (1962) which offers a brief taste of the artist colony she was involved with in the late-50s and early-60s, the film is directed by Robert Snyder who also made Anais Nin Observed (1974) and The Henry Milly Odyssey (1969).
